Channeling ancient Japanese styles, this San Mai (Three Layers) K-tip Petty is made with the same principals as the ancient Samurai swords. Two pieces of softer steel clad to a hardened piece of premium carbon steel… in this case, Aogami Super. Separating those two steels is a sheet of pure nickel foil providing a stunning contrast line between the core and jacket steels.

The handle is made from a gorgeous piece of Arizona Desert Ironwood. With a beautiful deep amber wood and heavy darkened grain, this piece needs to be seen in person to truly appreciate it. Contrasting this is a fantastic piece of African Blackwood. Shaped into a nicely sculpted modified Wa style handle, this piece fits like an extension of the hand.
